Back to NewsHoliday Reading Challenge
As we welcome our staff and students back to Grove Academy at the start of the new year, there is plenty of catching up to do as we hear about each other’s holiday stories.
However, learning never stops and whilst enjoying the seasonal opportunities for family and fun, we set our students a reading challenge to complete over the holidays.
The criteria for the challenge was to:
- Read any two books of your choice during the holidays.
- When you return to school, submit book reviews for both books to your tutor.
- Reviews should be about 50 to 60 words each.
And we are proud to report that our students did not disappoint. 12 students completed the challenge and were awarded 20 ‘Relentless Reader’ achievement points for each book review and a postcard home commending their reading achievement.
Congratulations and well done to:
Shekayla H, Oshan A, Jasneet K, Delisha S, Ananya K, Aisha AS, Tanusha Y, Kusha C, Mohit A, Ashwinkarthick S, Khadija H, Nikolas W.
