School-level data from the Key Stage 2 national curriculum assessments will not be published in performance tables, however are monitored by the school. 

This includes progress scores in reading, writing and maths.

GCSE School Performance 2024

At Grove Academy, we are proud to share our recent academic achievements, which reflect the hard work of our students and staff:

  • Progress 8 Score: -0.06 – the highest in the last three years and in line with the national average.
  • Attainment 8 Score: 40.4 – also the highest in the last three years.
  • Ebacc 4+ Pass Rate: 35% – significantly above the national average of 32.5%.
  • Ebacc 5+ Pass Rate: 22% – exceeding the national average of 18%

English and Maths

  • 56% of students achieved a GCSE standard pass (Grade 4 or above) in English and Maths.
  • 42% of students achieved a GCSE strong pass (Grade 5 or above) in English and Maths.
  • Progress in both English and Maths is in line with national averages.

Science

  • 88% of Biology students achieved at least a Grade 5.
  • 82% of Chemistry students achieved at least a Grade 5.
  • 88% of Physics students achieved at least a Grade 5.
  • Over 29% of Triple Science students achieved at least a Grade 7 in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • 58% of all Science students achieved at least two GCSE Science passes (Grade 4 or above).
  • All Science subjects achieved progress well above the national average.

Languages (German, Spanish, and Urdu)

  • 76% of students achieved a GCSE standard pass (Grade 4 or above) in Languages.
  • 67% of students achieved a GCSE strong pass (Grade 5 or above).
  • Progress in Languages is well above the national average.

Other Subjects

  • Photography: 86% of students achieved a GCSE standard pass (Grade 4 or above).
  • English Literature: 67% of students achieved a GCSE standard pass (Grade 4 or above).
  • History: 67% of students achieved a GCSE standard pass (Grade 4 or above).
  • Art: 64% of students achieved a GCSE standard pass (Grade 4 or above).
