Dear Parents and Carers

I am writing to inform you of the effect that strike action by the National Education Union (NEU) on the 1st February will have on the school.

As we do not anticipate that a significant number of teachers will be taking industrial action, we intend for the school to be open on Wednesday 1st February. At the present time we are planning for classes in all primary and secondary year groups to run as normally as possible.

Should we receive unanticipated staff absence which affects the running of the school day we will notify you as soon as possible and will endeavour to do so by 8am.

Please be aware that the NEU have also indicated that they will also be asking members to take strike action on:

• Wednesday 1st March

• Wednesday 15th March 2023

• Thursday 16th March 2023

We will update you on the year groups that will be affected on these subsequent dates as soon after the 1st February as possible.
